Sandipani Ashram
The most historically significant ashram in Ujjain — this is where Lord Krishna, Balram and Sudama received their education from Sage Sandipani. The Gomti Kund within the ashram is said to have miraculous powers. The ashram provides accommodation for pilgrims on a donation basis.
Gita Mandir Dharamshala
Located near the Mahakaleshwar temple precinct, this dharamshala offers clean, basic rooms at minimal cost. Priority for simple, devoted pilgrims. Satvik meals available in the adjoining kitchen.
Ram Ghat Dharamshalas
Several dharamshalas are situated along the Ram Ghat waterfront. Staying here gives you immediate access to the evening Sandhya Aarti — you can literally walk down 50 steps and be at the ghat for the ceremony.
